Prior to founding SEI Design Group, Matt was a managing principal at a large firm specializing in educational projects in New York, New Jersey, and Delaware.
Matt and his wife Alicia live on an organic farm where they raise chickens, keep bees, and grow vegetables, medicinal herbs and flowers. Together they have 8 children, 2 dogs, and a cat. Ted has over 32 years of experience in a variety of architectural projects with an emphasis on educational facility design. As Principal for several major addition and renovation projects, he is in charge of client relationships, contracts and meetings, consultant coordination, code review, specifications, and reviewing construction drawings. Ted’s responsibilities also include design, detailing, and preparation of SED submittals. He is active in document quality control and office production planning.

Matt has over 18 years of experience in architectural planning, and design, along with presentations, project and team management, and feasibility studies. His responsibilities include all phases of architectural projects, managing design teams, and coordinating projects with consulting engineers. He also is responsible for reviewing construction drawings, document quality control and permitting/approval submissions, including SED.

He understands construction and his willingness to accept challenging projects have led to his success as an architect and project manager and most recently Associate Principal. His broad range of experience includes institutional, residential, municipal, industrial and commercial projects which allow him to negotiate complex project parameters.

Kurt has over 18 years of experience in a variety of architectural projects including medical and office build-outs, hospitality, municipal and higher education with an emphasis on educational facility design and construction. As an Associate Principal, he applies his experience of developing a project program, establishing and working through the budget and interacting with clients and consultants one-on-one and in public forums. He works closely with the project architect, consultants and clients in schematic, design development, and the construction document phases. During the construction phase he works jointly with construction managers and clients to accomplish project objectives through planning and evaluating project activities.

Alastair has accrued over 17 years of professional experience in a wide variety of projects from high-end residential in New York City to higher education in Rochester. Alastair has earned a promotion to Associate Principal due to his vast experience, his focus on regional business development, and track record for outstanding client relationships. As a 4th generation architect, he has been involved in all facets of architecture, beginning with initial Owner interaction all the way through to successful project close-out. Alastair maintains his license in the UK in addition to NY State and has been a LEED Accredited Professional since 2004.
His credentials include AIA, RIBA, RIAS, and LEED AP BD+C.

Becky has over 20 years of experience in Project Management, and architectural and interior design, with a focus on corporate, higher education, and K-12 facilities. After years of hard work and commitment, Becky has been promoted to Associate Principal. Her responsibilities involved client, consultant, and contractor relationships while coordinating each project from inception through construction. Becky brings perspective to our production workload while tracking and focusing on outlook planning and implementation. Her responsibilities also include client meetings and coordination, design, specifications, drawing preparation and review for submissions, and construction administration. As a designer, Becky’s relationships with clients, project team and consultants include programming, planning, furniture, and finish design and specifications.

Mitch deftly carries design concepts into constructible contract documents while dealing with code implications and client requirements along with budget and time constraints. With an ethical approach, he enjoys designing pleasing modern spaces that meet the programmatic needs of their inhabitants. He also has an integral leadership role in quality standards and takes pride in upgrading drawings with innovative features.

Providing technical coordination of documents and production staff, Jim assists Project Managers with design intent, project timelines, integration of consultants’ documents, construction detailing and field surveying, from the start of design to final construction closeout. Committed to the final product, he keeps the clients’ needs at the forefront using the latest industry software, new building materials and construction technologies enabling him to deliver projects on time and on needs.
Jim and his family live in Webster where in his free time he enjoys many artistic hobbies. Jim paints acrylics on canvas and automotive airbrushing. Hajdi joined SEI in 2021 after graduating from New York Institute of Technology - Manhattan. Previous experience includes surveying, solar panel drafting, resin work and carpentry. Her role as a designer and her personal drive is to make things happen and provide creativity where wanted. She also devotes her time in drone videography, art and trying new food.

A graduate from Alfred State, Kelsey has several years of experience in Architectural Design. Kelsey recently bought her first home and is in the process of obtaining her Master of Science in Construction Management. With her extreme love for animals, it is Kelsey’s goal to adopt as many as her house and yard can hold.

Lauren joined SEI as a full-time Designer after graduating from the University at Buffalo in 2021 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and a minor in Art History. Prior to SEI, Lauren worked as an Auto CAD technician at an engineering firm during school breaks. While not in the office working on projects, she can be found hiking, skiing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

A member of the Marketing Department, Kaitlyn works to represent SEI’s brand and assist with client development. She assists in the development of marketing materials, event coordination, updating and maintaining relevant information. She has a Master of Arts in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from SUNY Oswego.
In her free time, she enjoys boat days, skiing, hikes with her dog, Finley, and traveling to new places.

Lindsey joined us in 2015 as SEI’s senior administrative support. Her extensive administrative experience has helped SEI move forward into using new technology programs to expedite and fulfill project requirements. In addition to the day to day tracking of project schedules, she works diligently with our Project Managers to complete change orders, NY state forms, SED submissions and finalizing construction paperwork.
A Rochester native herself, Lindsey enjoys spending time with her husband Brian and their Goldendoodle Bentley. When she’s not working, you’ll find her enjoying a glass of wine, boating with friends and playing platform tennis.

A new addition to the team, Ann-Marie has a proven track record of providing outstanding administrative support for multinational corporations for more than a decade.Her responsibilities include coordinating/managing BCS programs, assisting with completing NYSED forms for submission, and updating the company’s project schedule and budget allocation. She has a degree in Business Administration and a Certificate in Project Management.
Ann-Marie enjoys traveling and learning about other cultures. Her hobbies are reading, dancing and listening to jazz.

Sara plans, organizes, directs and assists in controlling the financial functions of the firm as well as managing human resources. In addition, she is responsible for assisting in preparation of financial statements and analyses, as well as budget recommendations and completion of contracts.

Tracey joined SEI in 2018 as an Administrative Assistant in the Binghamton office. She has 32 years of experience working for an architectural and engineering firm. She provides support with tracking submittals, change orders, and any paperwork needed for projects. She has an AAS Degree in Executive Secretarial Science.
Outside of the office, Tracey enjoys singing and songwriting, along with playing the mandolin and guitar with her bands. She loves spending time in nature, and treasures visiting with her two sons.

Missy joined SEI in 2020 as an Administrative Office Manager in the Albany office. She has over 15 years of experience working for and a co-owner of a construction company. She provides support with tracking submittals and RFI’s, change orders and payment applications, SED submissions and any paperwork needed for projects.
Outside of the office, Missy enjoys going to the dirt track to watch her nephew race, NASCAR races, and NHRA Races. I am very family oriented and love spending time with my teenage sons.
