Tupper Lake Central School District voters approved two propositions in November 2014. The first proposition was a $7.9 million repair and renovation to L.P. Quinn Elementary School, Middle/High School, bus garage and the Civic Center.
The primary scope of work at L.P. Quinn Elementary School included parking reconfiguration, restroom upgrades to meet ADA requirements, track re-surfacing, and athletic field upgrades.
The Middle/High School work included auditorium renovations, gymnasium bleacher replacement, masonry restoration, window replacement, restroom upgrades to meet ADA requirements and locker room upgrades.
The bus garage upgrades included electric service replacement, restroom upgrades to meet ADA requirements and parking/sidewalk improvements.
The Civic Center improvements included furnace replacement and fire alarm upgrades.
Upgrades were completed district-wide to the phone system, the wireless network, and the network hardware.
Proposition 2 was a $440,360 renovation to the Civic Center which included showers in changing rooms and adding a mezzanine floor with an elevator.
