SEI Design Group has been providing architectural/engineering services on a number of projects for the District since 2007. SEI provided extensive pre-referendum services that included coordination with facility committees and planning with district administration, faculty, parents, and community members, and assisting the district in the final project scopes and budgets for the various projects.
Programmatic enhancements have been extensive throughout the District including the redesigned high school library with collaborative teaming areas, instructional space, special study areas, and group project break out rooms. New collaborative art rooms were designed to provide for state-of-the-art creative space and areas to share work and display.
General construction projects included roofing, windows, masonry, flooring, finishes, locker, and multiple infrastructure upgrades. HVAC improvements included code compliance, ventilation controls, and main boiler plant replacement. Plumbing renovations included ADA upgrades and replacement of dated fixtures. The project addressed life safety systems, emergency lighting, communications, and technology infrastructure upgrades.
The current $30 million capital improvements project involves renovations and additions at all of their four schools including Discovery Labs. Phase 2A will include a Discovery Lab at Manor Intermediate and three at the High School; Phase 2B will consist of Discovery Labs at the Middle School and Lima Primary School.
