Just when we least expected it, there is another Woot-Off on right now.  We love the website Woot, and really look forward to these events. There is usually one deal per day and there are some great buys on cool stuff. Check the blog with descriptions of the items which are usually sarcastic or silly.  You can get info from users in the community forum.  In a “Woot Off”, orange lights are flashing and they list an item until it runs out and then immediately list another item. You can get things at unbelievable prices, but sometimes the popular things sell out in a few minutes. Can’t believe I missed the Leakfrog.  Sign up quickly so you will be able to purchase before you item runs out.

Nothing is ever boring at SEI Design.  This week, activity kicked into high gear on Canstruction, a great charity event. This is a design build competition for design professionals and students using cans.   All the building materials (canned goods) get donated to food kitchens at the end of the event.  At a team strategy session Wednesday night, we determined that it would be unlikely that someone could come up with a tasty meal out of the cans we are using in the competition.  If you see it differently, and have a unique way of putting together sauerkraut, spaghetti sauce, beans, olives, and pineapple juice, we welcome your ideas.  If you convince us that you can come up with something appetizing, we will be glad to send you a token of our appreciation.

How come Brian doesn’t look happy?  Our clients over at University of Rochester pulled a little prank on Brian and it appears everyone enjoyed it more than he did.  BTW, who are those masked men?

You know that SEI is a big-time fan of Foosball and Design, and this gorgeous crystal foosball table by Italian design Teckell is the epitome of both. Hmm…wonder how well the five man scores!

We understood about Jim and Eric, but we are rather perplexed by this.   Is Brian trying to tell us something?

We have to admit that Eric came up with the most unique studio decor that may even improve Feng Shui.  Now if it would only turn on and water itself.   Hopefully Eric can provide details for those of us who want to acquire one of these creative planters for our own workspace.

According to Mazda, every family has one, and SEI is no exception.  Jimmi couldn’t stand Eric having a faster car than him, and had to go get his new honey, a Mazda Speed3 (Mazda’s self proclaimed Wild Child).  This Wild Child certainly looks happy in his Cosmic Blue sporty rig. We understand that it is a very fuel efficient vehicle, right Jimmi?
