Here is an idea for your next construction project.  A local Rochester, NY start-up, digitalXtractions, is selling an internet based webcam that does not require external power or a router.  The camera can be mounted on a pole or tree  and it uses cell towers to connect.  This allows you to monitor from a cell phone, PDA or computer with internet connection.  You can use this camera as a way to monitor your project and communicate with your constituents about construction progress.
